The role involves offering direct support to the company’s clients in Japan and to internal Project Managers, organizing and managing linguistic freelance talents efficiently, as well as assuming responsibility for linguistic quality, tone, and cultural appropriateness of Japanese translations.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for Japanese linguistic quality, tone, and cultural appropriateness
  • Developing and improving processes, methods, workflows for localization into Japanese
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining Japanese language-specific style guides and terminology, flagging the need of terminology updates
  • Participating in meetings related to linguistic quality with Japanese clients or collaborating resources and/or reporting on this topic
  • Resolving linguistic issues and concerns
